Specimen preparation….The key to superior results!
Revitalize your specimen preparation techniques with a three-day workshop with leading experts. You'll discover innovative and creative techniques for loose powders, pressed powder briquettes, fusion beads, fusion solutions and metals. For a truly hands-on experience, grinders, presses and fusion instruments will be utilized during the workshop. Instructors with experience in metals, liquids, powders and much more will be here to share their knowledge with you.

The experience doesn't end there… Your specimens will be used for the workshop
All specimens used for class exercises will be provided by you, the attendee. This will allow you to gain insight into the preparation of not only your materials, but various others supplied by your peers.

A Well-equipped lab with a wide range of preparation instruments
Available for this workshop are ring and puck mill, mixer mill, Cryo-grinder, automatic pellet press, fluxer with platinum accessories, and fluxes and grinding accessories.  All attendees are required to participate in hands-on preparation of fusion beads and pressed powder briquettes. Attendees may bring there own samples or they can use on-hand samples, such as, clay, silica, alumina, cement, iron ore and zirconia just to name a few.

Fees & Registration
Registration fees for training courses include classroom and lab materials and catered lunches. Registrations must be received no later than six weeks prior to the start of the course. Payment must be received prior to the course to attend.

Cancellation Policy
A 50% refund of the paid registration fee will be given if your written cancellation is received at the ICDD 20 business days prior to the start of the class. With less notice, a colleague may take your place, or the course materials will be mailed to you.
