1986 to 2001 Powder Diffraction articles are now online

The historic archive of Powder Diffraction is now online and available through the Powder Diffraction portal of Cambridge Online Journals (COJ).

https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/powder-diffraction

The archive consists of articles published from 1986 to 2001 in pdf format. In addition to the works of over a thousand authors, the archive also contains a collection of historic papers by such notable scientists as Don Hanawalt, Ludo Frevel, Peter deWolff, Ron Jenkins, Daniel Louër, Deane Smith, Walter Eysel, William Parrish, Jan Visser, Howard McMurdie, Herb Goebel, Harold Klug, Leroy Alexander and Linus Pauling. The history and development of quantitative X-ray analysis, including the reference intensity ratio method and Rietveld method, can be found in the archive, as well as the development of indexing techniques required for pattern refinement by powder methods.

The archive access can be purchased in its entirety or individual articles can be viewed and downloaded separately. All abstracts can be viewed free of charge through COJ and the data mining capabilities of COJ can be used to find and identify desired content by author names, titles and keyword searches. With the addition of the archive, now all publications in Powder Diffraction from 1986 to current are electronically accessible.

Interested in becoming an ICDD Member?

The ICDD exists to serve the needs of the materials analysis community. Approximately 300 scientists from around the world comprise the active membership, from which the organization draws its Board of Directors, committees, and subcommittees. The essential functions of the members are to elect the Board, and to offer advice. The current Board feels that it is important that we receive the broadest and deepest advice possible, and that the active membership needs to be expanded. Please visit our Membership Page for more information.
