The ICDD, ICDD clinic instructors, Denver X-ray Conference (DXC) Organizing Committee, and Pharmaceutical Powder X-ray Diffraction (PPXRD) Symposium Organizing Committee have come together to offer the following training and educational courses in the upcoming year. You can choose from week-long intense training courses with the ICDD clinics, to topic-specific 3-6 hour workshops provided by the DXC, and field-specific symposia and workshops offered by PPXRD. All courses are taught by scientific experts with a focus on practical applications. For more details on course instructors and topics, visit the enclosed web site links.

The ICDD is committed to promoting the applications of materials characterization methods in science and technology by providing educational programs such as the ICDD Clinics. Format combines theoretical and practical applications with ample time for the students to discuss their applications and problems with the faculty. In pursuing its dynamic commitment to education, the ICDD offers a limited number of tuition waivers for the Clinic on X-ray Powder Diffraction and the Clinic on X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry.

Attendees to the world's largest X-ray conference will have access to sessions on the latest advancements in XRD and XRF. Workshops are run by experts who provide TRAINING and EDUCATION on many PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS of X-ray fluorescence and X-ray diffraction techniques for the study of materials. Designed to help attendees (with little or many years of experience), our workshops will solve some of their most difficult problems. As an added benefit, these experts will be available to answer questions and offer suggestions.

The ICDD is proud to present the 5th PPXRD. This symposium is designed to create a forum for the exchange of knowledge and cutting-edge ideas among those interested in the combined fields of XRD and the pharmaceutical industry.

PPXRD-5 will also include a workshop on practical applications of X-ray analysis in the study of pharmaceutical materials. Topics planned include formulation analysis, polymorph analysis, shelf life studies, solid state kinetics and in-situ process monitoring.
