Education Coordinator Job Posting
The International Centre for Diffraction Data, a non-profit scientific organization, is seeking an Education Coordinator to join our Conference Services team. The Conference Services team is responsible for planning and organizing educational events, conferences, workshops, and symposia. The ideal candidate is dynamic, energetic, self-motivated, and a team player with outstanding communication skills.
Under the direction of the Manager of Conference Services and Communications, the Education Coordinator will provide support in the general administration of ICDD Educational Events, mainly the clinics. The Education Coordinator is the point person for all faculty, staff, and attendees. Some responsibilities include gathering course materials, setting deadlines and corresponding with clinic faculty, communicating with attendees, arranging lodging, meals, and transportation, interacting with vendors, and more. The Coordinator will also provide general support in the administration of conferences and symposia.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent practical experience in the fields of meeting/event planning, marketing, communications, or customer service.
- Ability to work both cooperatively on a team and independently on
- Great organization skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, written and verbal. Ability to represent ICDD in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner to event attendees.
- Strong ability and willingness to learn.
- Effective time management skills.
- Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Reliable transportation.
